Overview
Rem Nexus (Pvt) Ltd runs two businesses from Kadawatha: HR Axis Consultation, an HR outsourcing and recruitment company, and REM Sports Arena & Sportswear. Instead of a separate tool for each, they wanted one system for the whole group.
I'm building it in phases. Live today: the group website with a door for each business, the HR Axis jobs site with a hiring portal behind it, and the sportswear catalogue with team orders. The arena's booking calendar and online booking requests are built, and the HR services modules come next.
I designed the architecture, built it, deployed it, and I host and maintain it.

What I built
- 01Group website with one entrance for each business: HR Axis, Jobs, Sports Arena and Sportswear
- 02Jobs site with a hiring portal: job posts and applications with CV uploads
- 03Sportswear catalogue with team orders, managed by the arena's own staff role
- 04Arena module: a booking calendar for staff, open hours on the website, and booking requests that staff confirm
- 05Role-based permissions, so every staff member only sees their part of the system
- 06Production on Docker with a staging server, twice-daily backups and tested restores
Engineering
One codebase, three businesses
A Next.js web app and a NestJS API in one monorepo, sharing Zod schemas and permission keys, so the rules in the interface and the API can't drift apart.
Uploads are scanned first
Every CV and image passes a ClamAV virus scan before it reaches S3-compatible storage.
Least privilege, down to the database
Role-based permissions in the app, and separate database roles for migrations, the API and backups.
Tested like a product
Dependency audit, typecheck, lint, unit tests, an API smoke test and Playwright end-to-end tests run in CI on GitHub Actions.

360+ commits, with every structural decision recorded alongside its reason.
